Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Desktop/System Engineer to join our growing team in Kolkata. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of desktop and system infrastructure, providing technical support to end-users, and maintaining a secure and stable computing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware and software.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to desktops, laptops, and printers.
• Respond to end-user requests for technical assistance, provide prompt support, and resolve issues to their satisfaction.
• Maintain and monitor computer systems, networks, and servers to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Perform routine system administration tasks, including backups, updates, and patching.
• Manage Active Directory, group policies, and user permissions.
• Implement and maintain security measures to ensure data protection and prevent unauthorized access.
• Evaluate and recommend hardware and software upgrades to enhance system performance and functionality.
• Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure system stability, performance, and security.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in desktop support, system administration, or a similar role.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with desktop hardware, printers, and peripherals.
• Experience with Active Directory, group policies, and user management.
• Understanding of networking protocols and security principles.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
