System Admin

The System Admin plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of the organization’s IT infrastructure. They are responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting the company’s systems and networks to ensure optimal performance and security.

Location:- Mumbai

Exp:- 3 to 7 yrs

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, server hardware, and virtualization environments
• Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and accessibility
• Manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN
• Implement and enforce security measures to protect data, software, and hardware
• Perform regular backup operations and ensure data recovery capabilities
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and escalate to vendors when necessary
• Manage user accounts, permissions, email, and anti-virus programs
• Collaborate with IT teams to resolve technical issues and implement solutions
• Provide technical support and guidance to users and stakeholders
• Develop and maintain documentation related to system configuration and processes
• Conduct regular system audits for compliance and optimization
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve system performance
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hours support as needed
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures related to system administration

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role
• Strong knowledge of system security, including firewalls, encryption, and intrusion detection systems
• Proficiency in networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
• Knowledge of backup and recovery processes for data protection
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience with server administration and management tools
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or CompTIA Server+ are a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) is preferred
