About the Role
As a Lead IT Business Analyst, you will:
Work closely with Strategy leaders to create new or improved data-driven dashboards to communicate ongoing statuses of our services on performance and recommendations to improve.
Provide metrics driven dashboards to provide the statistical analysis needed to narrate the detail necessary to make informed business decisions.
Participate in key leadership meetings and provide updates.
Plan study of work problems and procedures, such as information flow.
Present findings and solutions to business unit and facilitate agreement for solution selection and implementation.
Work with various groups to implement solutions that are in line with strategic goals and that specifically improve services.
Confer with personnel concerned to ensure successful functioning of newly implemented data models and statistics align with strategy owners.
Disseminate relevant data-driven strategic recommendations and gather leadership feedback.
About You
You’re a fit for the role of Lead IT Business Analyst, , if you have:
Sound decision making and communication skills.
8+ years experience in business analysis techniques, such as eliciting requirements through interviews, workshops, process modeling and system or document analysis.
Capable of assessing inputs from stakeholders, analyzing data to produce metrics in high-level dashboard format to enable data-driven decisions.
Competent with PowerBI, Azure DevOps, SQL, Microsoft suite of tools to create dashboards with charts and story-telling capabilities. Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and CoPilot preferred.
Desire to research emerging technologies to recommend outcomes. (e.g. Machine Learning, AI, MSFT tools)
Strong analytical skills to create reports and offer recommendations.
Experience documenting user requirements, detailed process/program workflow diagrams, enhancement requests and repeatable bugs, and/or decomposing features into prioritized, sprint-ready user stories for a specific product or module.
Established background in an Agile environment with a proven understanding of the software development life cycle.
Good knowledge of SQL and ability to write queries against Relational Databases e.g. Oracle, Snowflake.
Attention to detail and proven organization and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and autonomously. Be comfortable with ambiguity and exploratory research.
Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills.
Experience working with cross-functional and remote teams
Good communication, presentation and time management skills.
Ability to facilitate communication between business and technology teams
Keep abreast of technology trends and developments
Preferred qualifications:
Degree in Business and/or Computer Science, or related technical field or equivalent experience. MBA preferred.
An understanding of data systems, system architecture and data warehouses and reporting applications.
Experience of requirements gathering for a data warehouse or similar data systems e.g., SAP, Snowflakes or similar.
Experience of reviewing the data model and reporting requirements with the Data warehouse/ETL and Reporting team.
