In Product Value (Customer Success) Engineer role, you will work directly with customers, field sales, delivery and product development teams to help ensure the successful incubation, adoption and enablement of VMware’s vRealize Network Insight. You will wear many hats, and your work will
have a real impact on the success of VMware Customers and their business. You’ll be part of an agile and bright team that accepts open communication, empowerment, innovation, collaboration and a shared focus on customer success.

As a key partner for engineering teams, you will work closely with early adopters, enabling sales and delivery to customers who require advanced architecture designs and services. Your knowledge and experience will be leveraged as a part of continuous feedback to drive architectural best practices required to increase adoption, retention and overall customer experience, as well build new and improved existing features of our products. Your command of Computer Science skills, virtual and physical network experience, deep technical skills, including software development experience, will provide you the grounding and ability to debug issues in distributed software systems in virtualized environments.
Your Responsibilities
You will work with customers and delivery teams to deploy vRealize Network Insight, and where applicable, you will incorporate VMware Validated Designs (VVDs) and standard methodologies.
Work independently or as part of a PVE team on engagements with customers, often in technical leadership to ensure customer retention and to drive customer value realization.
Deliver workshops to train customer, Partners and field. Document the development and deployment of our customer’s solutions.
Act as the architectural and deep subject authority to deliver technical assistance for consulting engagements with customers.
Develop and maintain technical and business expertise of cloud industry directions and trends.
Work closely and reciprocally with Product Management and Engineering and launch as well as the continuous refinement.
Collaborate with architects in the cross functional teams to provide authoritative technical architectural support and mentorship for the product incubation phase and during the development of emerging solutions and incubation phase and during the development of emerging solutions and services.
Our Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field.
You should have minimum of 8 years of experience in a customer-facing technical field role (for e.g Systems Engineer, Customer Success Engineer) with at least 4 years in customer success engineering roles.
At least 4 years experience in customer-facing positions as a professional services Solution Architect or engineer, preferably with a consulting organization.
You should be conversant in VMware virtualization, Operations & Management products.
Hands-on/working knowledge of the VMware vRealize suite, VMware vSphere, VMware NSX.
Network Security Tool and Networking Concepts such as firewalls, Load Balancers, Security/Trust Zones, L2 Switching and L3 routing. VLANs, Unicast vs Multicast, Management Networks, Public Cloud, Routing, VPN and Network design.
Up-to-date VMware Certifications with Strong Networking Knowledge.
Confirmed ability to provide clear, concise, and highly impactful knowledge exchange within peer communities through mentoring, workshops, direct customer engagements and official training forums. Start-up creativity, passion and execution – enthusiasm, technical credibility without hubris, and follow-through.
Shown critical thinking and advanced troubleshooting skills and qualities, validate logs & alarms for RCCA.
Effective in working both independently and in a team setting with other high performing technical architects.
Excellent social skills, both written and verbal, are required.
