Job Role and Responsibilities:
Technical Skillset:
1. The engineers should carry out below tasks for all the systems.
I. Installation of Point of Sale Operating System (OS)
II. Configuring the systems for LAN and its trouble shooting
III. Reloading of POS Operating System (OS) with all required device drivers
IV. Installation of printers, Cash draw drivers
V. Troubleshooting of Point of Sale (POS) machines if not connected to Network.
VI. Installation of customized software & POS provided by HO-IT Team. Client IT shall impart proper training & process note to Engineers.
VII. Basic troubleshooting of problem faced with the specific software.
VIII. Co-ordination with Software principals/vendors to solve the issue faced by users. Despite all efforts if issue persists then Engineers will escalate matters to HO IT for further action.
IX. Maintaining daily call logs and updating status.
X. Documentations of Activities/ Processes/ Incident Reports as per the format provided by HO-IT.
Installation, configuration and troubleshoot of Point of Sale (POS) with the help and support of HO-IT wherever required.
The site engineers should run diagnostic test in the system, should load the new versions of application software’s in PCs/POSs whenever required. They should ensure that all application software is properly functioning. Client shall provide maintenance call procedure in order to bring uniformity in the procedure across all units of Client.
Whenever new systems are provided to replace the old systems, the service engineers should transfer / replace POS and its application software and data files from old system to new system without any data loss occur. Client / We shall define the procedure clearly stating which data is required to be transferred and where they are to be stored on the system. Engineer shall cross verify and confirm with the user about proper and complete transfer of data before starting the Operation.

· Employs many different databases design techniques effectively.
· Providing weekly status on the requirements to the stake holders and seek approval for any extensions in the timelines or additions in the requirements
· Responsible for POS Installation/Troubleshooting/Diagnose/Solutions.
